Important: Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, restrict or waive a consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. Change of mind and cancellations
Where applicable law gives a customer a right to cancel an online transaction within a prescribed cooling-off period, LeAgo will honour that right subject to the requirements and exceptions provided by law.
Where a customer requests cancellation outside a statutory cancellation or cooling-off right, the request will be considered based on the stage of the order.
An order may already have been paid to a supplier, specially sourced, dispatched, handed to a courier, imported or otherwise incurred costs that cannot reasonably be recovered.
LeAgo does not guarantee that an order can be cancelled once fulfilment has started.
Customers should therefore contact LeAgo as soon as possible if they wish to cancel an order.
2. Products that arrive damaged
If your package appears visibly damaged when delivered, please notify the courier and contact LeAgo as soon as reasonably possible.
Where practical, customers should take photographs of the outer packaging, shipping label, visible damage, product and internal packaging.
This information may be required when LeAgo engages the courier, supplier or manufacturer.
3. Incorrect product received
If you receive a product that is materially different from the product ordered, please contact LeAgo as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order or invoice reference, photographs of the product and packaging, and a description of the discrepancy.
LeAgo will assess the matter and, where appropriate, arrange the applicable remedy.
4. Missing components or accessories
If a product is delivered without an item that should reasonably have been included in the original package, please contact us.
We may require photographs, packaging information, product serial numbers or other information to establish what was supplied.
5. Defective products
A product that is defective, unsafe, unsuitable for its intended purpose or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal quality requirements may qualify for a remedy under applicable consumer legislation.
For South African transactions, statutory consumer rights may include rights relating to the return, repair, replacement or refund of qualifying defective goods.
LeAgo will assess the reported problem and apply the remedy required by applicable law.
6. Assessment of a reported fault
LeAgo or the relevant supplier or manufacturer may need to inspect or assess a product.
The assessment may involve photographs, videos, troubleshooting, serial-number verification, product inspection, testing or consultation with the manufacturer or supplier.
An assessment does not remove or reduce any statutory consumer rights.
7. Damage, misuse and improper installation
A product may not qualify for a voluntary return, manufacturer warranty or other remedy where the problem has resulted from circumstances such as misuse, abuse, accidental damage, unauthorised modification, unauthorised repairs, incorrect installation, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, unsuitable electrical supply or other circumstances for which the supplier or manufacturer is not responsible.
This section does not seek to exclude any remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Installation
Unless expressly stated on the relevant product or service listing, the sale of a product does not automatically include installation.
Where a customer arranges installation independently, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the installer is suitably qualified and follows the manufacturer's installation requirements.
9. Refunds
Where a refund is legally required or otherwise approved by LeAgo, the refund will generally be processed using the payment method or account details appropriate to the original transaction.
For EFT transactions, LeAgo may require confirmation of the original payment and appropriate banking details before processing a refund.
LeAgo may need to wait for the relevant return, assessment or supplier process to be completed where the circumstances require this.
10. Delivery and return costs
Where applicable law requires LeAgo to bear the cost of returning qualifying goods, LeAgo will do so.
In other circumstances, return or collection costs may be the responsibility of the customer where legally permissible.
Customers should not send products to an address without first obtaining return instructions from LeAgo.
11. Special-order and supplier-sourced products
Some products may be sourced specifically for a customer after an order is placed.
Where a customer cancels such an order outside a statutory cancellation right, LeAgo may be unable to cancel the supplier order and may therefore be unable to provide a refund, subject always to applicable law.
12. Out-of-stock products and replacement stock
Product availability shown on the LeAgo Smart Shop is based on information available to LeAgo and/or its suppliers.
Where a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, LeAgo may contact the customer regarding an alternative, revised fulfilment arrangement or cancellation where appropriate.
LeAgo does not guarantee that an identical replacement product will always be available.
13. Manufacturer warranties
Some products carry warranties provided by the manufacturer or another supplier.
LeAgo may assist customers with the warranty process, but LeAgo does not become the manufacturer or guarantor of a manufacturer's warranty merely because the product was purchased through LeAgo.
14. Botswana and other cross-border orders
Customers purchasing products for delivery outside South Africa should be aware that delivery arrangements, customs, import requirements, taxes, duties, delivery times and manufacturer support may differ.
LeAgo does not guarantee that a manufacturer will provide identical warranty or after-sales support in every country.
Cross-border transactions remain subject to mandatory consumer protections and laws applicable to the relevant transaction.

16. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, restrict or waive a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable law, the mandatory provision will prevail.
